The warming houses are clean and workers ready to go. However, what looked like a good season for outdoor ice skating earlier in December hasn’t materialized for the residents of Shakopee.
Unlike the first week of December, when temperatures were in the single digits at night, the past few weeks of daytime temperatures above freezing has made it difficult for the city’s park maintenance division to make and maintain ice.
